Abstract

Through this research, we will adapt to our environment, through brief critical analysis, an original document entitled Transport for Inclusive Development. A path for Latin America and the Caribbean published by the Inter-American Development Bank in 2022, under the coordination of Lynn Scholl, Alana Fook, Juan David Barahona, and María Eugenia Rivas. From a critical and interpretative perspective, resorting to the original publication, we address this specific topic, relating it to our national and regional reality. The document used contains relevant information that proposes a clear focus on Latin America and the Caribbean, to help close the existing social gap in transport as well as the provision of a better means of communication between towns and cities, which can be reflected in the improvements of people to influence their situation of poverty. marginality and social exclusion. The question posed by the original document is this ¿how can improvements in transport reduce poverty and inequality and foster socially inclusive development in the region? We try to respond to this concern, placing ourselves at the regional and national level and using the considerations of the document itself and others, from an abundant bibliography at our disposal. Since 2014, the World Bank had stated, "Transport is a crucial factor in driving economic growth, reducing poverty and achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). He adds: "Poverty reduction is more likely when communities have access to essential services and markets at all times and in all weather conditions.”
