Gabo the draftsman

Abstract

This work primarily compiles Gabriel García Márquez's comments on his inclination as a draftsman, as recounted in his memoirs, Living to Tell the Tale. This tendency manifested itself throughout the various stages of his life. It constitutes a reference text for all those interested in learning about, expanding upon, and studying a little- known facet of García Márquez. This research contains representative quotations of his work as a draftsman, arranged chronologically, accompanied by others texts and hyperlinks. The quotations are accompanied by the title of the document or article in which they appeared, the date, and the page numbers of the editions consulted (in this case, referring primarily to the 2002 editions of Living to Tell the Tale). May this work serve to promote the teaching of writing by taking into account the experience of such an important figure in Latin American literature. A hermeneutic exercise based on life stories.
