ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE: CONTABLE CONSULTANCY FOR PROFESSIONAL FORMATION

Abstract
The establishment of an accounting clinic in both public and private university accounting schools plays a fundamental role in students' education. This space provides an invaluable opportunity for students to gain practical experience and apply theoretical knowledge in real-life situations. However, it faces challenges such as collaborative learning, interaction with the business sector, and the development of cross-cutting competencies. Therefore, the general objective was to promote academic excellence through an accounting clinic for professional training. Using a positivist paradigm and a descriptive, non-experimental field research design, a structured questionnaire with closed-ended questions and response options was developed. It was distributed electronically, and anonymous information was collected from a sample of 150 students from both public and private university accounting schools.
Among the relevant results, 92% of students considered it important to have an accounting clinic that would provide valuable learning experiences. It is concluded that this space would have a significant impact on students' education by offering the opportunity to gain practical experience, foster collaborative learning, establish connections with the business sector, and develop cross-cutting competencies.
